Fraud and cyber attacks are becoming more common and complex every day. One of the best things you can do to help protect your accounts is to stay on top of your transactions.   

What are BMO Alerts?  

With BMO Alerts, you can get notifications about transactions on your accounts. You can set up BMO Alerts for debit cards, credit cards and/or small business credit cards

It’s up to you to choose and customize your alerts so you get all the info you want to help keep your accounts safe and secure.  

For example, you could set up your BMO Alerts to be notified of the following account activity:  

  • large transactions 
  • contact info changes 
  • international transactions 

You can change your BMO Alerts at any time. 

How to set up BMO Alerts – It's easy  

Setting up BMO Alerts is simple and fast. Here’s how to get started: 

  1. Log in or enroll in BMO Digital Banking.
  2. Select your name in the top right-hand corner of any page in BMO Digital Banking, or select the “More” menu from your mobile phone.
  3. Choose and customize your alerts:a. For debit cards, select “Manage debit/ATM cards,” then “Set up controls and alerts.” b. For credit cards, choose “Preferences” from the drop down menu and select “Notifications and alerts.” Select “Credit card alerts” to choose your alerts and delivery preferences.c.
